Add-ons
Need a little more without changing plan? Add-ons are billed per year alongside your plan, pro-rated for the rest of your current billing period, and can be added from the billing page. Increasing an add-on takes effect immediately with a prorated charge. If you reduce or remove an add-on, it stays until the end of the term you've paid for and drops at your next renewal, with no refund or partial refund; when it does, if you remove seats, pending invitations are revoked first and then the newest members are disabled (never the Owner).
Add-on pricing coming soon. Add-ons will be available for:
- extra team seats
- extra alert email addresses
- extra regions — each one raises your regions-per-check limit by one (plans with a region limit)
Common questions
How does the free trial work?
A card is required to start your 7-day trial and is verified with 3-D Secure where your card issuer supports it, but it isn't charged during the trial. Your trial runs on the plan you choose. On the day your trial ends, we automatically charge your card the plan's annual price for the year ahead, unless you cancel the trial before then, in which case it ends on its end date and you aren't charged — we'll email you a reminder 3 days before the charge. Free trials are limited to one per email address and one per card in any 12-month period, and three per IP address in any 30-day period; if you're not eligible for a trial you can still subscribe, and your card is charged right away.
What counts as a "check"?
A check is one monitored target — one URL, host, port, DNS record, SSL certificate, domain registration, or heartbeat endpoint. Each plan includes a fixed number of checks, and each check can be any of the seven supported types.
How does multi-region confirmation work?
Before an incident opens, a failing check can be re-checked from other regions. Your plan sets the most distinct regions a check can require to agree it is down, and a check never requires more regions than it can actually run from. Heartbeat and domain checks don't run from probes, so they aren't region-confirmed.
How can I pay?
With a credit or debit card, processed securely by PayPal: your card details go straight to PayPal, and we never see or store your card number. It's card only — no digital wallet. Your plan renews automatically each year using your saved card (an account has one card), and we email you 14 and 3 days before each renewal with the amount, which is the plan's list price at that time plus tax (unless we have agreed a different price with you in writing, which then applies instead). You can replace your card, or cancel, at any time from the billing page. While a charge is coming (a trial about to convert, or a plan set to renew) a card can't be removed, only replaced; once you've cancelled, you can remove it.
Do you charge sales tax?
If your billing address is in Canada, we bill in Canadian dollars and add the GST or HST for your province or territory, shown separately on your invoice. Customers outside Canada are billed in US dollars without Canadian sales tax.
Do you offer monthly billing?
Not currently — plans are billed annually only. If that changes we'll announce it on this page.
What happens if I go over a plan limit?
You can't create a check, alert channel, or status page past your plan's limit — you'll be prompted to upgrade instead. If you downgrade below what you already use, nothing is deleted: at your next renewal the newest over-limit checks are paused and extra alert channels are disabled, and you're emailed the list so you can choose what to keep.
What happens if I remove an add-on?
It stays in place until the end of the term you've paid for, then drops off at your next renewal, and you aren't refunded for the unused part. Adding more of an add-on, or a new one, takes effect immediately with a prorated charge for the rest of your term.
Where does my status page live?
Status hosts it for you, over HTTPS, at its own link (/reports/<page-id> on this site) that you copy from the dashboard and share with your users.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page whenever you like. Cancelling doesn't stop your plan early: it stays active until the end of the term you've paid for, then expires and won't renew. If you subscribe today and cancel tomorrow, you keep the plan until the term ends. Cancelling a trial means it ends on the trial end date and you aren't charged. There are no refunds or partial refunds for cancellation, downgrades or unused time. If you think there's a billing error, contact support.
Ready to know the moment something breaks?
We're launching soon. Optional multi-region confirmation keeps one flaky vantage point from sending you an alert.
